The biggest city in the eastern part of Uganda, Jinja, hosts white water rafting Usually visiting Queen Elizabeth National Park, visitors to Jinja travel to choose the river rafting activities. Paddle rafts used for white water rafting can hold up to six persons plus a properly trained rafting guide.

Everybody is handed a paddle, and the guide constantly guiding you on how to be safe and enjoy the raft using the paddle. On the river Nile, some safety kayakers travel with the rafters. Since the kayaks race through the rapid a head of the raft, they are also rather highly trained to provide safety of top world class paddlers.

Should the raft flip upside down and your tossed into the water, the nearby kayakers and guide assist in getting you back on the boat.

The guides on the raft have an opportunity to train their crew during calm sea conditions. Paddling at the Bujagali falls where a significant rapid quickly strikes the other makes the rapids more exciting. The rapids get bigger and more magnificent when the raft boats enter the wild seas.

You get off the rafts and carry them on the ground till you reach the coming rapids. The Itanda is known as the bad region of rapids; the Nile strikes so strong.

Though you can choose to go through the middle of the larger and higher rapids or go through the edges of the rapids, take note this may not turn the way you expected if some of you fail to paddle well then the raft might flip or take you in the wrong direction.
