Uganda – Most travelers need to obtain entry visas when visiting this vibrant destination. Visas are available for purchase upon arrival at the airport for USD 50, or they can be obtained through Ugandan High Commissions in countries where they have a presence. The costs for visas obtained at Ugandan high commissions overseas tend to be higher. USD notes must be from 2009 or later and should be in excellent condition, free from tears or marks.
Rwanda – Visitors from AUSTRALIA, GERMANY, ISRAEL, NEW ZEALAND, SOUTH AFRICA, SWEDEN, UK, and USA can obtain a Rwandan entry visa upon arrival without the need for prior application. The entry visa fee is $30 and is good for a duration of 30 days.
Citizens of SINGAPORE, HONG KONG, MAURITIUS, and PHILIPPINES can enjoy a stay of up to 90 days without the need for entry or tourism permits.
EAC nationals will receive a 6-month visitor’s pass (renewable) upon entry, free of charge.
Visas will be necessary for all other nationalities, with costs varying based on nationality, reaching up to USD60 for a single entry. These countries need to secure a visa prior to their journey and pay the required fee.
