GORILLA PARK UGANDA
Gorilla Park Uganda: In Uganda, mountain gorillas live in two national parks: the impenetrable Mgahinga and Bwindi parks. A threatened species are mountain gorillas.
Rushaga, Buhoma, Ruhija, and Nkuringo are the four gorilla trekking sectors of Uganda’s Gorilla Park, which is home to mountain gorillas and is situated in the country’s southwest. In the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, gorilla families have adapted to gorilla trekking in every sector.

The Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, often known as Gorilla Park Uganda, is 1,160–2,607 meters above sea level. Following its 1991 gazetting, the park was designated a UNESCO Natural World Heritage site in 1994.
In 1993, the first family of habituated gorillas was found in Uganda. The gorilla park is located on the outskirts of the Rift Valley in the southwest. One of the oldest parks, the mist-filled park dates back more than 25,000 years. The park is a rainforest with an estimated 480 mountain gorillas, or half of the world’s population, and 400 different plant types.
In addition to the mountain gorillas, the park is home to 130 different species of mammals, primates, including chimpanzees, baboons, red-tailed monkeys, and black colobus monkeys, as well as elephants, antelopes, warthogs, and many more. About 400 bird species, including 30 valleys of the Albertine Rift, can be found in the park.

The Gorilla Park Another national park in Uganda that is home to mountain gorillas worldwide is Mgahinga Gorilla Park. The park is 33.7 km in area, and its name comes from the local word for volcano stones, Gahinga.
In 1930, the park was designated as an animal sanctuary and gazetted. The Nyakagezi Gorilla family is the only habituated mountain gorilla in the park.
Before the forest was designated a world heritage site, the Batwa people were the first to dwell there, therefore you should pay them a visit.
Mountain Gorillas are found at elevations between 2,227 and 4,200 meters. The primary habitat is a deep forest, and golden monkeys are among the world’s endangered species.
Other activities that take place in Mgahinga Gorilla Park include Batwa trails, culture tours, and wildlife visits.
The Virunga range, which forms the border between Rwanda, Uganda, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, includes Mgahinga National Park. Along with other national parks, Mgahinga National Park is a component of the Virunga conservation region. Numerous ecosystems can be found within the volcanoes.
Gorilla permits, the sole document required to enter the forest and spend an hour with mountain gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Mgahinga National Park, are required to enter Gorilla Park Uganda. Included in the price are park admission costs and the ranger/guide fee for accompanying you to the park.
The cost of a habituation experience is $1500 USD, and a gorilla permit is 800 USD. Four hours are allotted for you to see the mountain gorillas and teach them to coexist with people. The cost of lodging varies from $60 to $500 USD per person, depending on whether you have reserved a budget, midrange, or luxury lodge.
