HOW TO GET THERE
The Eco Marvels Gorilla Resort is just a few meters from the Hakihome trade center in Mpungu Subcounty, which is close to the Kitahurira Ranger Outpost in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
One way to get to the resort from Kampala is to take the Kabale-Ruhija-Mpungu-Buhoma road, or the Rukungiri-Kihihi-Butogota-Mpungu road. When it rains, you should have a 4×4.
The bus leaves Kampala every day for Butogota via Rukungiri and Kihiihi, or it goes from Kampala to Kabale.
From Butogota or Kabale, you can rent a car and drive to Mpungu, Eco Marvels Gorilla Resort.
The part of this route that goes from Kabale to Ruhija and then to Kitahurira is 41 km long and is on a marram road that splits off from the Kabale-Kisoro road at the Harutenga junction. Kayonza or Savannah are grass airstrips that can be reached by plane from Entebbe or Kampala (Kajjansi airport).
