Booking Gorilla Trekking.
Gorilla trekking reservations: Three African countries are home to mountain gorillas in national parks. These include the Virunga National Park in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the Mgahinga National Park, and the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
To make a reservation for gorilla trekking, one must obtain a gorilla permit, which is a card that allows gorilla trekkers to enter the bush. Depending on where they last ate and how fast the hikers are, it might take anything from 30 minutes to 7 hours to encounter the endangered animal. You have an hour to see the mountain gorillas play, eat, groom, and do a lot of other things.
Reservation Permits are required for gorilla trekking and are granted by the wildlife conservation administration. These are the Rwanda Development Board in Rwanda and the Uganda Wildlife Authority in Uganda.
In order to book gorilla trekking, you must also look for a reliable tour operator that is affiliated with the Association of Uganda Tour Operators. This operator should be prepared to handle your gorilla permit and make reservations for all of your trip’s necessities.
Reservation Trekking with mountain gorillas is a must-do activity, and it takes place in national parks. To reduce the possibility that the mountain gorillas would contract infectious diseases, just eight persons are permitted to hike with them.
The mountain gorillas of Bwindi are divided into four sectors. Mubare, Rushegura, Habinyanya, Bitukura, Oruzogo, Kya Guriro, Kahungye, Nshongi, Mishaya, Businye, Nkuringo and Bweza, and Nyakagezi are among the 12 gorilla groups in Mgahinga National Park that have already become acclimated. There are ten gorilla families in Rwanda, and eight people visit each family each day.

One must be aware that there are many seasons for gorilla trekking in order to make a reservation. In addition to January and February during peak seasons, they operate in June, July, August, September, November, and December.
Even though a 30% deposit is required and the whole amount is paid 91 days before to gorilla trekking, the Uganda Wildlife Authority grants you a two-year booking advance.
Although 70% is not allowed, it can be regarded as seven days, and there is no reimbursement for the licenses given the 20% premium.
Limits on gorilla permits
50% of the permits are refunded by the Uganda Wildlife Authority, and the warden will notify the Authority of any illnesses.
Trekkers in Mgahinga National Park will receive a complete reimbursement for their permits if they are unable to see the mountain gorillas due to their relocation to other nations. Those who, for whatever reason, were unable to witness the mountain gorillas will receive a 75% refund.

46–90 days 50% cancellation fee for 91 days or more; 75%
Gorilla trekking reservations must be paid for at the Uganda Wildlife Authority in Mengo.
Particularly for the 91-day hiking period, permits cannot be postponed. There will be a 20% rescheduling fee if there are eight days. Cancellation policies will apply since other charges for the date are regarded as cancellation and rebooking.

Trekking runs from 8:30 am until 5:00 pm.
Permits for mountain gorillas in Bwindi cost 800 USD, while those in Volcanoes National Park cost $15,000. Just in case you didn’t know, Rwandan permits have gone up. From 750 USD to 15000 USD, they went up. Discounted gorilla permits are not available from the Uganda Wildlife Authority.
