Uganda Wildlife Education Center.
The Ugandan government founded the Entebbe Zoo, also known as the Uganda Wildlife Education Center, in 1952. The park was created for wild animals, animals that were seized from the illegal trade, orphaned animals, and sick and injured animals.
From the 1960s until now, the Uganda Wildlife Center has been known as the Zoo. Many Ugandans still recognize the name “zoo,” and it is indeed easily recognized as such. At the time, the zoo had a variety of animals, including bears, tigers, and many more, with a variety of attractions.
The zoo was taken over by the Uganda Wildlife Authority in May 1994 as a conservation education facility.
The Uganda Wildlife Center is situated on the shores of Lake Victoria. The area is lush with greenery and is home to a variety of birds, mammals, butterflies, and other animals, making it a welcoming location for all.
Uganda Wildlife is situated in Entebbe town, which is also the location of the 1947-founded Entebbe International Airport.

With the assistance of the Wildlife Conservation Center, the Ugandan government established the Wildlife Center in Entebbe. Many Debrazza and Vervet monkeys, as well as approximately 300 bird species, African Eagles, Great Blue Turacos, Hammerkops, Giant Kingfishers, and many more, can be seen when you visit.

The Uganda Wildlife Center’s general guidelines include a warning that food and beverages should be kept out of the zoo due to the presence of monkeys throughout. Don’t leave valuables in the car, and you can also bring children’s bikes for free.
Lions, elephants, giraffes, kobs, giraffes, zebras, warthogs, hynas, bushbucks, rhinos, black and white colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, olive baboons, chimpanzees, cheetahs, leopards, shoebill storks, peafowls, ostriches, African fish eagles, Gaboon viper snakes, Egyptian cobras, and African Rock pythons are among the park’s many fauna.
