Uganda It is the ideal time of year to go mountain gorilla trekking in December. Since these are the busiest times of the year, they are typically referred to as the peak seasons. In contrast to the low season, when the jungle is muddy and slick, these are the dry or peak seasons, when gorilla trekking is easier. Keep in mind, too, that Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a rainy forest, and it rains all year long. Additionally, rain can fall on any day in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Mgahinga National Park.
Since mountain gorillas can be hiked year-round and there is no season restriction on gorilla trekking, December is not the only month in Uganda to go gorilla trekking.
Uganda Because even the premium lodges choose to cut their rates, gorilla trekking in December is the ideal time of year, even though other tourists prefer the wet seasons or low seasons when there aren’t many trekkers in the rainy forests. The weather is greener and gentler during this time of year.
Mgahinga Gorilla Park and Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, both of which are highland rain forests in Uganda, offer year-round gorilla trekking in December.
Trekking the mountain gorillas is an option all year round, though you may prefer to visit during the dry season. Even yet, it will continue to rain, either throughout the day or at night. It is therefore recommended that you always have ponchos, rain jackets, waterproof boots, and long sleeves. Additionally, you will see that the guides and rangers are wearing waterproof footwear. Bring along a waterproof camera cover, a waterproof food pack, and numerous other waterproof items.
There are other dry seasons that extend through June, July, August, September, December, January, and February, therefore the high seasons/peak seasons are not limited to December unless you prefer the year’s low seasons.
March through May, October, and November are the low seasons. Because they are everywhere looking for abundance of food during the rainy seasons, mountain gorillas are easily trekked in mountain gorilla regions.
December is the best time of year for gorilla trekking, according to many travelers, vacationers, and holiday makers.
