Volunteering at Queen Elizabeth National Park
Uganda Community Tourism Association in collaboration with Pearls of Uganda plans volunteer activities in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Volunteering is an active African vocation that combines a vacation trip with several volunteer tasks in rural Uganda, for example, teaching, helping windows, research scientists, hospitals and health centers.
Most volunteer projects involve helping churches, building homes for the homeless, teaching agricultural skills to nearby farmers, and tree planting. From volunteer work, the participants get knowledge of African culture, create lifelong friendships and memories occasionally spanning eternity.
Uganda ranks highest among all the African nations with regard to volunteer opportunities. There are several grass root groups, which makes this possible. These groups arrange the chances for voluntary work. The grass root groups have direct ties to rural communities that supply information for the volunteers.
