Found inside the virgin of the famous Bwindi impenetrable forest national park (the habitat of more endangered mountain gorillas), southwest section of Uganda, Buhoma community camp is a three-star mid-range lodging.

The resort lies close to the trailhead for hiking. From kampala via Mbarara KABALE, one may be at lodge by road taking around 8 hour journey (540km). One and half hour fly from Entebbe to the close Kihihi airfield the hour to be taken to the resort. The lodge has a peaceful and lovely natural surroundings with an amazing view from the forest and neighboring places.

Over five tasteful and cozy cabins with breathtaking views of canopy forest created in African traditional style using locally grown wood with comfortable closeness make up Buhoma gorilla resort. Every room is well designed, raised on a hardwood platform, equipped with high levels of utilities like mosquito nets, satellites, extinguishers, en-suite flushing toilets, hot and cold running showers, complementary bottled water, free toiletries, etc.

Teraces, sitting spaces, and wooden balconies in rooms let you unwind while savoring the spectacular view of the canopy forest and Virunga Mountains. The lodge features fireplaces with comfy seats where tourists relax and exchange stories/experiences about the safari; it also gives warmth to the guests during night. The rooms offer great and clean comfortable linen. Single beds, double, twin, triple, and family cottages abound in the configurations of rooms. Buhoma community camp

The best and most visited national park in southwest Uganda’s Kanungu district is Bwindi Forest, Impenetrable. More threatened mountain gorillas approximately 19 gorilla groups call the park home. The park covers 330.8 square kilo meters overall. Of the more over 600 mountain gorillas found in Bwindi national park, 19 gorilla families are habituated.
Four sectors make up the park: Nkuringo, Rushaga, Buhoma, and Ruhijha sectors where gorilla trekking occurs. Four habituated gorilla families—Mubare gorilla family, Habinyanja, Rushegura, and Katwe gorilla family—are situated in Buhoma Sector, the site of the lodge.
One may also monitor Ruhijha area from buhoma position. With a stunning perspective of the forest canopy, the Buhoma sector is the best and most visited one among others forming Bwindi Impenetrable national park. In bwindi, a gorilla permit for non- foreigners comes at 700$. The total count of mountain gorillas worldwide is about seven hundred and eighty six.
Although some of Uganda’s population lives in Mgahinga national Park, most of them reside in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest; Uganda boasts close to half of their entire population here. The Bwindi Impenetrable national park offers luxury, mid-range, and budget lodging in various kinds.
February, March, June, July, September, October, and December is the ideal time to explore Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
