Trip Itinerary ( Detailed Safari )

Day 1: Transfer to Ziwa Rhino trekking & continue to Murchison falls national park.

Following breakfast at your Kampala/Entebbe hotel, set out the journey of 311 kilometers or five hours’ drive to Murchison Falls National Park in northern Uganda. You proceed over the undulating hill slopes of Nakasongola then split out at Nakitoma for 7km to reach Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, 176km north of Kampala.

After their extinction, Ziwa Rhino and Wildlife Ranch is the proud home of the last wild rhinos in Uganda, therefore providing an amazing tracking experience. The only area you will be able to view wild rhinos is Ziwa.

Nowadays, the refuge hosts more than twenty (20) southern white Rhinos. With visitors seeking rhino trekking, bird viewing, nature walks and leisure, the refuge has become even more popular. Following a walking safari, you will continue on the trip to Murchison Falls National Park and see top of falls from which the park gets its name.

Day 2: Game drive & boat cruise.

To go for a morning wildlife drive, where you will have an opportunity to see early risers and nocturnal species before they return to their hideouts, you will wake up very early in the morning. Hosting 4/5 of the major 5 creatures as well as one of the most magnificent and strong falls in the world so far, this is the most gorgeous national park in Uganda.

Today you may see some of the Park’s inhabitants: lions, giraffes, Jackson’s hartebeests, antelopes, buffalo, and elephants.

For the birders, these places sustain the black chested snake eagle and the secretary bird, to mention a few, so you will enjoy a cock tail.

Go on a boat journey to the foot of Murchison Falls in the afternoon, where the Nile thunders through a little 7-meter gorge dropping 43 meters down the Nile en route to Lake Albert.

You travel back to the lodge for supper and sleep after the cruise.

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale National Park.

About five to seven hours’ drive throughout the rural sceneries and traditional homesteads of Kagadi district, where you visit tea plantations if time permits, start the journey to Kibale national park, often regarded as the primate capital of the world.

Arriving, you will visit a community to discover everyday living style of the inhabitants leaving this area where you will engage in coffee brewing. Following this meeting, you travel to your lodge late at night.

Day 4: Morning Chimpanzee trekking & Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park.

Day 5: Game drive & launch cruise along Kazinga Channel.

After breakfast, go on game drive on the kasenyi plains of this park to see among others elephants, lions, leopards, Buffaloes, Kobs, and hippos.
Travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park for an afternoon boat excursion along the 45km Kazinga Channel.

Until the administration chose to implement culling in 1960, the Kazinga Channel, spanning 45km in length at one point, had high concentration of hippopotamus population in the area.

On a hot day, you enjoy the broad views of the Nile crocodiles and other wild wildlife satisfying their thirst on the waters of Kazinga channel and crowding its beaches.

Retreat from the two-hour activity; go for an afternoon game drive along the channel trail to reach the resort for supper and nighttime rest.

Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Before you start the journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in southern western Uganda, breakfast. Here in this section of the park, you go on a game drive looking for lions that climb trees.

Ishasha sector is rich in the iconic climbing lions coupled with other wild wildlife living in this forest area of the park.

While waiting for their meal, the tree climbing lions would much rather lounge flat on fig tree branches in the mid-morning light. Following this meeting, go on the trip to Bwindi arriving in the evening for supper and overnight rest.

Day 7: Gorilla trekking in bwindi impenetrable national park.

You will enjoy a packed lunch after an early breakfast, then begin your gorilla path after a briefing by the game guide at the park headquarters.

An incredible and unique experience is hiking throughout the deep, rich jungle to finally find the gorillas in their native home.

The high point of an African exploration trip, this interaction lasts two to nine hours. You will just spend one hour closely interacting with these calm gentle monkeys, snap photographs, and become familiar to them.

Before you leave the activity to go back to the starting area, you are free to take as many pictures as you like. Following this meeting, go for leisure to lake Bunyonyi.

Day 8: Transfer to Lake Mburo national park.

In the morning, you will set off a scenic drive to Lake Mburo national park, reaching in the afternoon for lunch. After lunch, go for afternoon boat cruise on Lake Mburo, where you will be rewarded with view of game as hippos, crocodiles, as well as a variety of bird species. Dinner and overnight Rwakobo rock lodge.

Day 9: Transfer to Entebbe for Departure.

Early morning, you will embark on guided nature walks under the direction of armed ranger guide throughout the park where you will have opportunity to explore and see animals at close range, antelopes, giraffes, Buffalos, Bush Bucks, Impalas among others.

After leaving the park, you will go to Entebbe airport for your returning trip home. Along with lunch and a trip at Uganda Equator crossing Kayabwe for an incredible picture opportunity for memories.
