DAY 1: Arusha – Tanzania
This budget-friendly Tanzania Safari to Serengeti & Beyond begins in the vibrant town of Arusha, the entrance to the renowned Northern Tanzanian Safari Circuit.
Your journey begins with a warm welcome at the airport, followed by a transfer to your charming boutique hotel in Arusha. The town of Arusha rests at the base of Mount Meru, the fifth tallest mountain on the African continent.
If time permits, you can wander through the lush grounds of the hotel, take a refreshing dip in the pool, or engage in some of the exciting optional activities available here.

DAY 2: Journey from Arusha to Tarangire National Park – Tanzania
As the sun rises on the second day, we set off from Arusha, fueled by a hearty breakfast at the hotel. We journey through Arusha town, pausing to gather essential supplies before setting off on our remarkable African safari adventure.
Our initial stop for wildlife exploration is Tarangire National Park, where we take a moment to enjoy lunch before embarking on our first thrilling game drive of this safari adventure.
Tarangire Park is a remarkably varied landscape, showcasing a distinctive blend of environments within the northern safari circuit. Tarangire is famous for its vast elephant population, boasting the highest concentration of elephants in Tanzania. The game reserve is renowned for its plentiful baobab trees and the fascinating tree-climbing lions that call it home.
This 2850 km² game park serves as the heart of the wild, lying along the annual migratory path that weaves through northern Tanzania. This incredible wildlife migration features a breathtaking spectacle of 3000 elephants, 25,000 wildebeest, and 30,000 zebras charging across the plains in pursuit of lush, green grass.

DAY 3: Manyara National Park – Tanzania
Today begins with a steaming cup of coffee as we set off towards Lake Manyara National Park for an exhilarating early morning game drive.
This breathtaking national park safeguards the north-western section of Lake Manyara, stretching along the majestic base of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment. The shallow soda lake draws in more than 380 bird species and is famous for its impressive flocks of flamingos. This compact and diverse game park is a treasure trove of excitement, featuring the elusive tree-climbing lion.
After a break at the lodge during the midday heat, we set off on an exciting afternoon game drive in Manyara National Park.

DAY 4: Ngorongoro Crater & Serengeti – Tanzania
On the fourth day of this Tanzania Safari to Serengeti & Beyond, the adventure begins with an early breakfast, followed by a drive to the iconic Ngorongoro Crater of Tanzania. We climb the crater wall on our picturesque journey to the gateway of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Next, we venture into the crater and discover the floor of the game-rich caldera, pausing for a picnic lunch in this wildlife paradise.
The Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a vibrant sanctuary for the Big Five of Africa: lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo. Regarded as the Eden of Africa and celebrated as the 8th Natural Wonder of the World, Ngorongoro is home to approximately 25,000 large animals, showcasing one of the highest concentrations of big game on the continent. The crater is home to an exciting array of wildlife, featuring hyenas, wildebeests, zebras, serval cats, cheetahs, Thompson’s and Grant’s gazelles, along with approximately 400 species of birds.
Following our exhilarating wildlife safari in the vast, untouched caldera, we journey from the Ngorongoro Crater to the renowned Serengeti National Park, taking in the sights of game along the way.
As we journey into the expansive Serengeti Park, we traverse the southern plains on our way to the next lodge for our thrilling safari experience. This picturesque southern area of Serengeti boasts expansive grasslands and rugged outcrops, creating a vibrant habitat for the diverse wildlife that inhabits it.

DAY 5: Serengeti National Park – Tanzania
We embark on an exhilarating day in Serengeti National Park, traversing the vast open plains of the Seronera region. This central region of Serengeti is alive with wildlife, as the Seronera River draws animals throughout the year. Seronera boasts vibrant big cat populations, offering remarkable opportunities to spot lions, cheetahs, and even leopards.
Beginning with an early morning game drive following breakfast, we pack a picnic lunch and set off to discover the wonders of the Serengeti on our adventures. The Serengeti boasts a vibrant array of wildlife, including lions, leopards, zebras, Thompson gazelles, impalas, Grant’s gazelles, buffalo, and countless others. This expansive wildlife park in Tanzania features sweeping grasslands, interspersed with solitary granite hills and clusters of acacia woodlands.
The Serengeti Plains are famous for the incredible annual wildebeest migration and the impressive resident predator population, particularly the majestic big cats. The Serengeti Park, the most renowned and historic national park in Tanzania, serves as the quintessential backdrop for an exhilarating wildlife safari in the wilds of Africa. A UNESCO World Heritage site, Serengeti stands as one of Africa’s most significant game reserves, brimming with excitement and exploration. From February to May, a herd of over a million wildebeest (gnu), accompanied by more than 200,000 zebra and 300,000 Thomson’s gazelle, embarks on a journey through the Western Corridor of the park, seeking out lush, green pastures.
We arrive back at the safari lodge after our exhilarating game drives, just in time for dinner and a night of unwinding.

DAY 6: Journey from Serengeti & Ngorongoro to Lake Manyara – Tanzania
On the sixth day of our Budget Tanzania Safari, we embark on a morning game drive through the Serengeti, eager to enhance our wildlife sightings.
Then we make our way back to Ngorongoro Crater, pausing for a delightful picnic lunch along the journey. Then we journey south, scanning the landscape for wildlife as we traverse the game-rich Ngorongoro Conservation Area of Tanzania.
We pause at Olduvai Gorge, offering you the opportunity to explore the captivating museum. The Olduvai Gorge museum showcases the remarkable discovery of fossil remains that date back 1.8 million years, revealing the story of our earliest human ancestors.

DAY 7: Journey from Lake Manyara to Arusha – Tanzania
