Trip Itinerary ( Detailed Safari )

Day 1: Departure from Entebbe & Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park – Chimpanzee Trekking.

You will leave Entebbe early in the morning and go for Kibale Forest National Park. Traffic and road conditions will usually determine how long this travel takes—between five and six hours. Arriving in Kibale, you will settle in into your lodging and have lunch.

You will next travel to the park headquarters for a briefing with one of the personnel. After the briefing, you will be given a guide to accompany you into the jungle starting your chimpanzee trekking adventure. Renowned for its chimpanzee population, Kibale Forest provides a rare chance to see these amazing animals in their natural environment.

Surrounded by the sights and sounds of the forest, you will return to your lodge in the evening for supper and overnight relaxation after an amazing day of trekking and animal watching.

Day 2: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park & Afternoon Boat Safari.

Following breakfast at your lodge in Kibale Forest, you will travel over breathtaking scenery to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The trip will pass gorgeous scenery and provide chances to see animals all along.

Once in Queen Elizabeth National Park, you will check in to your lodging and have lunch. You then will go for an afternoon boat safari in the Kazinga Channel. Renowned for its great variety of species, the Kazinga Channel is a natural watercourse between Lake Edward and Lake George. Hippos, crocodiles, buffalos, and many bird species—including African fish eagles and kingfishers—are expected on the boat safari.

Following your appreciation of the Kazinga Channel’s views and sounds, you will return tonight to your lodge for supper and leisure.

Day 3: Early Morning Game Drive & Transfer to Bwindi Forest National Park via Ishasha.

Get up early to start an exciting game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park’s huge plains. Leaving your lodge before dawn, you will be able to see the life of the park waking to the next day. As they look for food and water across the savannah, keep your eyes out for recognizable African wildlife such elephants, lions, buffaloes, leopards, and many kinds of antelope.
Return to your lodge for a filling breakfast after an amazing morning of wildlife watching before starting your adventure to Bwindi Forest National Park. Traveling through Queen Elizabeth National Park’s southern section, Ishasha, well-known for its tree-climbing lions, will be seen.
You will ultimately reach Bwindi Forest National Park after continuing your path over picturesque settings marked by undulating hills and rich woods.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking & Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale.

After breakfast early, drive to the park headquarters to get a lecture on the policies and safety precautions for gorilla walking from seasoned guides. You will be allocated to a gorilla family group after the briefing and begin your quest for these magnificent animals into the deep jungle.

The location of the gorilla group will affect the length of the hike, which might last two to seven hours. Following an amazing hour with the gorillas, you will return to the park headquarters where you will pick up a plaque honoring your gorilla trekking trip.

Retrace your steps back to your lodge to clean and have a well-earned meal. Then wish Bwindi Forest goodbye as you set out a breathtaking trip to Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale. Often referred to as the “Lake of a Thousand Islands,” Lake Bunyonyi is among Uganda’s most beautiful sites with breathtaking vistas of its calm waves and verdant islands.

Day 5: Transfer to Kampala or Entebbe.

wave goodbye to the calm serenity of Lake Bunyonyi as you travel back to Kampala or Entebbe after a full breakfast. Stop at Mbarara for a mouthwatering lunch so you may enjoy some regional food and maybe stretch your legs before heading further.

Then stop near the Equator to take some pictures and see the unusual occurrence of being at the meeting point of the hemispheres of the Earth. Look through the memories of your stay in Uganda at the souvenir stores to choose recollections of your safari trip or presents to bring back home.

After that, continuing your trip to either Kampala or Entebbe, where depending on your departure plans you will be dropped off at either your hotel or the airport.
