Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura gorge and Kazinga boat cruise
Following your early breakfast, you will travel for twenty minutes to reach your chimpanzee tracking location for an amazing meeting with man’s closest living ancestor with whom we share nearly 99% DNA.
The UWA guides, who knows the jungle very well while you look for these magnificent apes, will lead you. You will be allowed to observe them for one hour after they have been spotted as they go about their normal life.
We advise you to pack some drinking water, fast snacks, and off course—in a tropical rain forest—your rain gear. Following our visit with chimpanzees, we return to the resort for a hearty meal.
We take a boat tour on the Kazinga canal known for high hippo density in order to learn more about the water life or meet people who come to rest or sip water in the afternoon. The katunguru community boat helps the nearby local fishermen and guiding population. Dinner and sleep on the brink of Kazinga Channel.
