Trip Itinerary ( Detailed Safari )

Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park for Gorilla Tracking.

You are going to go to the isolated, gorgeous and mountainous south western Uganda today. For those who like road journeys, this eight to nine hour long drive offers a rich experience. Although much of the route is paved, the beauty of undulating hills makes even the more unpleasant portions more exciting.

 You will be surprised to discover you are already at the lodge when you tour the villages and take in the people. By the river bank, enjoy a campfire either before or after supper.

Day 2: Gorilla tracking and relaxing at the lodge.

Following an early breakfast, you will travel to the briefing location in the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park forest to learn about your experience with the Mountain Gorillas. You are suggested to pack lunch boxes and plenty drinking water.

For fifteen US dollars, you may get a potter to carry your luggage and provide a hand in steep or slipper areas of the forest. Following the briefing, you are split into groups of eight and guided into the forest by a park ranger where you will spend one hour with the peaceful giants.

Given that Bwindi is a tropical jungle, a rain gear is really vital. Following might lead you to decide to unwind at the resort. Sit by the river bank and enjoy a campfire either before or after supper.

Day 3: Golden Monkey tacking and transfer to Kalinzu Forest.

You will be taken to Mgahinga for a briefing after an early breakfast before heading into the bush looking for these bamboo related primates.

Some say this is the next greatest thing available after gorilla walking. One hour with these exquisite Albertine rift endemics will be yours. Following this exercise, you will be moved to Rubirizi close to Kalinzu in preparation for chimp trekking. Dinner and a stay overnight.

Day 4: Chimpanzee Tracking and Transfer to Entebbe.

You will be taken for Chimpanze tracking to Kalinzu woodland under management of Uganda National woodland Authority after breakfast.

Remember to include adequate drinking water on top of all the proper forest gear. Following a briefing, you will discover the chimpanzees in the jungle and be let one hour with them. You will be driven to Entebbe after the exercise.
