Starting with a quick tour of Kigali including a visit to the Genocide Memorial Center, this four-day journey crosses the border into Uganda There you will be able to engage with these gentle giants, who have 98% of human DNA.

Trip Itinerary ( Detailed Safari )

Day 1: Arrival in Kigali.

You will be picked up from Kigali International Airport and housed overnight at Chez Lando Hotel. rest in the motel tonight. Should you be drawn to Kigali’s nightlife, we can arrange for you transportation and provide a tour. As an alternative, you could decide to relax and sleep to overcome jetlag.

Day 2: Kigali to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Check out of the hotel for a city trip of Kigali after breakfast. The Kigali Genocide Memorial Center is one of the primary locations you will see; it features a pictorial chronicle of events before, during, and after the 1994 genocide.

If time permits, you will also stop at a nearby crafts area before driving around four hours to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda. Dinner and an overnight stay will be at Bwindi Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking.

The day you have been so looking forward has at last come! Get early breakfast first thing in the morning. Before leaving for the beginning of the trail, make sure you collect your packed lunch—prepared with an African flair.

Arriving, you will be briefed on the dos and don’ts of gorilla walking. You will then start an amazing journey into the unbroken forest. Depending on how fast the gorillas go across the jungle in search of food, this encounter may take two to six hours. You have one hour to savor the gorilla family once you locate them.

Available for an additional fee, you may either travel straight to a Batwa (Pygmy) village for a cultural experience or return to your lodge to clean up after the walk. There will be lessons on Batwa people’s customs of life, originally residents of the now-protected Bwindi Forest. The Batwa trail choice adds further $50 per person.

Day 4: Departure.

After you have finished your breakfast, you should make your way back to Kigali International Airport in order to leave.
