Within Queen Elizabeth National Park live close to 100 animal species, including big forest pigs and over 606 different kinds of birds. Spend time in the amazing Mweya peninsula and enjoy its lovely seafront.

The Maramagambo forest provides home for a pleasing variety of monkeys and birds; the secluded Ishasha sector is for the native tree-climbing lions. Whereas the Kyambura Gorges are home to chimpanzees, the crater lakes include hundreds of stunning flamingoes.

Trip Itinerary ( Detailed Safari )

Day 1:Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

One of our guides will pick you up from your Kampala hotel by 8:00 am after an early breakfast and transport you to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will stop near the Equator for some pictures and lunch at the Agip Motel in Mbarara.

From there, you will keep exploring Queen Elizabeth National Park, taking in the amazing landscape—tea farms, wide grasslands, long-horned Ankole-Watusi cattle, woods, and the Rift Valley escarpment. On your way to your lodging, have an evening game drive.

Accommodation: Enshama Game Lodge 

Day 2: Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Before starting a game drive along the Kasenyi route and the Queen’s Mile, have a cup of tea or coffee beforehand. Elephants, waterbuck, lions, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, warthogs, and various birds will be seen on this walk. Return at the lodge for breakfast with lunch. See buffaloes, elephants, hippos, kobs, and warthogs among others on a two-hour boat trip across the Kazinga Channel in the afternoon. This journey will also let you witness a variety of birds.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking at Kyambura Gorge and Transfer to Kampala.

Having great recollections of the previous day, you will have a filling breakfast to be ready for the chimpanzee trekking in Kyambura Gorge to see the closest human cousins. From here, the journey to Entebbe begins with lunch on route. One should not miss the visit to the Igongo Cultural Village.
