Trip Itinerary ( Detailed Safari )

Day 1: Murchison Falls National Park.

From the airport or your present location, a Lush Africa Safaris guide will pick you up and transport you towards the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. One of the most successful rhino breeding initiatives worldwide, Ziwa offers a unique chance to monitor the highly endangered white rhino and supports their protection.

 From Masindi town, therefore, use the Kichumbanyobo Gate to reach Murchison Falls National Park. After crossing the seasonal Sambiya River to reach the Nile River, enjoy a picturesque drive in verdant surroundings and then proceed via a ferry to the North Bank. Before starting a twilight game drive to wrap your day in an exciting manner, check in at your lodge.

Day 2: Murchison Falls National Park.

Early morning game drives with your driver-guide will help you to discover the many species of Murchison Falls National Park. Among others, seek find elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes, Rothschild giraffes, hippos, waterbucks, bushbucks, and Jackson’s Hartebeest.

With species like the Abyssinian ground hornbill, grey herons, African fish eagle, and saddle-billed storks, the birdlife is equally rich.

Lunch is back at the lodge. You will board a boat ride towards the foot of the falls at 2:00pm from a port on the Nile River. You could see hippos in the water and Nile Crocodiles lined the riverbed along the route.

Get breathtaking pictures and take in the vista from the rocks near Murchison Falls’ base. Trekking to the top of the falls after disembarking will let you see the Nile powerfully funneling down a 7–8-meter canyon, among the most powerful waterfalls on Earth. Join your driver-guide for your return ride to the resort after the trek.

Day 3: Murchison Falls National Park – Entebbe.

Early breakfast, check out your accommodation, then go to the Kaniyo Pabid Forest. Following a resident ranger/guide’s briefing, set for a hike to the chimpanzee refuge. Other primates like olive baboons, black and white colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, and grey-cheeked mangabeys will cross your path.

Your educational book will provide information on the many kinds of trees as well as old legends about the forest. A close-up meeting with the chimpanzees marks the high point of the tracking session.
Lunch will be supplied on way as you return to the base from where your driver-guide will be ready to take you to Entebbe.
