Day 1: Entebbe.

Once at Entebbe International Airport, you will be greeted by a Maseke Adventure Co. Uganda agent who will welcome you to Uganda—the Pearl of Africa.

You will then be sent to your reserved lodging. If you get here early enough, you could choose to cycle around Kampala City in late afternoon. Otherwise, you may merely lounge around your lodging. Dinner and your stay overnight will be at the lodge.

Accommodation: Cassia Lodge

Day 2: Entebbe – Murchison Falls National Park.

You’ll go for a trip to Murchison Falls National Park after breakfast. Here are the highlights: the thunderous rapids of the falls, undulating grasslands, lion, giraffe, hartebeest, buffaloe, elephant gazing. The great concentration of hippos and Nile crocodiles found here will undoubtedly captivate you.

Among the 450 bird species Murchison Falls offers for birders are the secretive shoebill stork, dwarf king fisher, the white-thigh hornbill, and the Goliath heron.

On route, your first Big 5 experience—an hour of rhino tracking—will be at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Masindi will be your lunch venue. Dinner and your stay overnight will be at the lodge.

Accommodation: Fort Murchison (Room)

Day 3: Murchison Falls National Park.

Following breakfast, you will go for an early morning wildlife drive in Uganda’s biggest national park across undulating grasslands. You’ll be back to the resort in time for lunch and some downtime. You will witness hippos, crocodiles, and many water birds on the boat excursion to the foot of Murchison Falls later.

If you would like, you could keep on a climb to the falls’ peak. Though the climb might be challenging, the exhilaration of reaching the summit is incomparable; miss it only if absolutely must! Dinner and your stay overnight will be at the lodge.

Accommodation: Fort Murchison (Room)

Day 4: Murchison Falls – Kibale National Park.

If you did not trek yesterday, you will drive to the top of the falls after breakfast and enjoy a magnificent view of the falls before leaving for Kibale Forest National Park. Otherwise, you will go directly toward Kibale.

As you will be driving through communities, rich green farmland, and hills filled with tea farms—all of which define this section of Uganda—the journey is rather beautiful. Popular for its chimpanzees, Colobus monkeys, grey-cheeked mangabeys, and red-tailed monkeys is Kibale. Dinner and your stay overnight will be at the lodge.

Accommodation: Turaco Treetops Lodge

Day 5: Kibale National Park.

You will get a briefing on your forthcoming chimpanzee walk in the Kibale Forest after breakfast. The hike will be led by a seasoned ranger guide. You will enjoy one full hour with the chimps once you find them. You will later travel back to the resort for lunch and some relaxation before starting a trek over the Bigodi swamp.

One amazing place noted for great variety of species is the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary. Here are found black and white Colobus monkeys, vervet monkeys, L’Hoest monkeys, and baboons. For bird aficionados, Bigodi is also a wonderland. The magnificent blue turaco is among the main bird species in the reserve.

Accommodation: Turaco Treetops Lodge

Day 6: Kibale – Queen Elizabeth National Park.

You will depart Kibale after breakfast and go on Queen Elizabeth National Park. Adjacent to Lake Edward and Lake George, Queen Elizabeth is Uganda’s second biggest park situated at the foot of the magnificent Rwenzori Mountain range.

Spreading savannahs in the park’s varied environment make it the perfect home for over 600 kinds of birds, 10 monkey species—including chimpanzees, and traditional big game.

Early time to relax, have lunch, and then take a boat trip along the Kazinga Channel linking Lakes George and Edward. Dinner and your stay overnight will be at the lodge.

Accommodation: Kikorongo Safari Lodge.

Day 7: Queen Elizabeth National Park.

You leave early for a wildlife drive in the park along the Kasenyi plains after breakfast. Lions, elephants, leopards—though rare—bushbucks, cape buffaloes, waterbucks, big forest pigs, Uganda kob, and more will be on your watch.

Later, you’ll head back to the resort for lunch and downtime before driving to a neighboring crater. Along the road, Cape buffaloes and elephants are among the abundance of species one may witness. Dinner and your stay overnight will be at the lodge.

Accommodation: Kikorongo Safari Lodge

Day 8: Queen Elizabeth National Park.

After breakfast, go for the Ishasha section of Queen Elizabeth National Park, renowned for its tree-climbing lions, for an amazing game-viewing adventure. You have around a seventy percent chance of finding these lions.

Hopefully you will be fortunate and witness them because they provide a magnificent spectacle! Additionally seen are Uganda kob, Cape buffalos, elephants, and warthogs. Dinner and your stay overnight will be at the lodge.

Accommodation: Topi Lodge

Day 9: Queen Elizabeth – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Search for some more tree-climbing lions after breakfast before moving to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Mountain gorillas find a large habitat in Uganda in Bwindi. Here, among numerous habituated groups, an estimated 400 mountain gorillas—about half of the world’s population—live. You will spend the remainder of today unwinding following check-in; tomorrow you have a demanding day.

Accommodation: Rushaga Gorilla Lodge

Day 10: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park- Lake Bunyonyi.

You will enter the gorilla refuge for your trekking excursion after an early breakfast and a briefing by a ranger guide. This jungle has just amazing beauty! Though quite thick, the region presents a striking, steeply wooded scene that is crisscrossed by many animal paths, therefore providing access.

The motions of these amazing primates will determine the length of time you spend and the terrain you travel across. Once you find a gorilla troop, you will have one hour among them. Spending time with these friendly but threatened creatures is an amazing, thrilling experience designed to be savored.

Lunch and some relaxation will bring you back to the resort before moving to Lake Bunyonyi. Dinner and your stay overnight will be at the lodge.

Accommodation: Arcadia Lodge Lake Bunyonyi

Day 11: Lake Bunyonyi.

You will join a Batwa trail excursion after breakfast. Dependent on the forest for shelter, food, and medicine, the indigenous Batwa ( hunter-gatherers and ferocious fighters) lived for centuries in the thick Mgahinga forest. Now they guide guests throughout the forest and expose them to their former habitat and survival strategies there. This amazing path relates to Batwa’s actual cultural heritage.

You will later go back to Lake Bunyonyi for leisure and breathtaking views of the tiny islands there. Although Lake Bunyonyi is bordered by lush, green-terraced hills rising to a height of 2,200–2,478m, its most stunning feature is the 29 islands of all forms and sizes strewn across the lake—you could see them all day.

Accommodation: Arcadia Lodge Lake Bunyonyi

Day 12: Lake Bunyonyi – Lake Mburo National Park.

You will set out your trip to Lake Mburo after breakfast and a quick trip to Kabale town. One should not undervaluate this little national park. The only park in southern Uganda featuring impalas, thin mongoose, and huge bush rats is this one; zebras are not found anywhere else in the nation.

Not to mention the lake itself, which is bursting with hippos and crocodiles, you may also search for hyenas, leopards, topis, elands, and the exquisite Rothschild’s giraffes.

Here are just a few of the amazing pursuits available: mountain biking, boat safaris, horseback riding, and bush treks. Approaching the animals at such close proximity here excites you, particularly considering the fresh air and stunning surroundings.

Accommodation: Kigarama Wilderness Lodge

Day 13: Lake Mburo National Park.

Early in the morning you will have breakfast and then start your game drive. After a night on the hunt, you will see hyenas retiring to their burrows or hippos dipping into Lake Mburo to cool down during the day and shield their delicate skin from the sun.

Zebras, giraffes, elands, topi, buffalos, birds, and butterflies could all be seen during a nature walk. Following the walk to the hilltop will get you a fantastic perspective of the nine local lakes. To see the vegetation and animals, embark on a boat trip across the lake in the afternoon.

Accommodation: Kigarama Wilderness Lodge

Day 14: Entebbe.

You will start your return trip to Entebbe after a leisurely breakfast at the resort. You will halt near the equator. Lunch and some shopping in Kayabwe will be yours.

You would reach the airport late afternoon or nighttime. For this day, we would advise a late afternoon or late night flight. I appreciate you choose Maseke Adventure Co. Uganda.
