Trip Itinerary ( Detailed Safari )

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe Airport and Shuttle to your Entebbe Guesthouse.

You will be picked up upon airport arrival. The Secrets Guest House, situated in a secure and verdant part of Entebbe near Lake Victoria, is only fifteen minutes away. Secrets has an outstanding cuisine and a rooftop restaurant. You should order lunch and supper a few hours prior as they are slow cooking.

Day 2: Shoebill Boat Safari in Mabamba Swamps.

Either explore the beaches of Lake Victoria close to the Guesthouse or rest in the morning. Starting at 1pm, our guide will pick you for your shoebill boat safari quarter to 1pm. The greatest site to see this unusual, prehistorical-looking large bird is Mabamba Swamps close to Entebbe.

Day 3: Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.

Your journey will begin at about 8 a.m. After breakfast, you will have the opportunity to visit Victoria Mall for a money exchange, get a sim card, and grab some snacks from the store before your transport to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.

Starting there with a late lunch can help you.
Then loosen. You might choose to have a late afternoon optional nature walk for birds and mammals. Luck would allow you to maybe find the first rhinoceros. Price twenty dollars USD.

Day 4: Rhino Tracking, then to Murchison Falls National Park.

Your guided walking safari with rhinos begins at eight in morning after breakfast. Before they hide and relax far deep in the jungle for the remainder of the day, you will attentively observe the white rhinos during their morning activity.

Following this amazing encounter, you will reach the perspective top of the Murchison Falls in Murchison National Park, where the River Nile must squeeze past a 7 m wide and 44 m deep rocky canyon. You will have time for lunch; your driver will provide refreshments for the transfer.

Your first game drive in Murchison Park is scheduled late afternoon. Lions, leopards, buffaloes, elephants, giraffes, Uganda Kob, antelopes, hartebeasts, monkeys and more abound in the park. With luck, you will identify all the Big Five in twenty-four hours.

Day 5: Murchison Falls National Park with Nile Boat Safari and One Day and One Night Game Drive.

Early morning game drive at the Northern shores of the Nile in Murchison Falls National Park. The park is famous for elephants, Rothchild giraffes, Pattas monkeys, lions, leopards, Uganda kob, antelopes, hartebeasts, and lots of beautiful birds.

You’ll have a lunch break in the lodge.

At 2 pm, you will enjoy the spectacular Nile boat safari to the Murchison Falls. You may expect elephants, crocodiles, lots of hippos, and beautiful birds before you reach a point on the Nile where you can see the mighty Falls from down. Please choose a seat in the upper deck on the left side.

As your lodge is situated inside the park, we included after dinner a guided night game drive. You may spot lions and leopards more easily during a night game drive as well as other night active animals.

Day 6: Murchison to Kibale Forest National Park.

You will be taken early morning to Fort Portal, near Kibale Forest National Park, your next stop.

You might extend your legs by trekking around several crater lakes close to Fort Portal before you get to your resort. The package fee includes the guided easy trek.

Day 7: Bigodi Wetland Walking Safari in Kibale National Park.

After breakfast, you will pack your bags and go to the morning excursion, the Bigodi Wetlands tour under local guide. You will witness indigenous monkeys, birds, and more obtain information about nature, the plants, and their usage.

Following this encounter, you will appreciate a Tinka lunch nearby. The cuisine is great, and you also gain background knowledge on Ugandan food and customs.

You will visit Queen Elizabeth National Park with various crater lakes in the afternoon. If you would choose, you may stop at a school or a Vanilla Plantation Project. Our Guide will provide you thorough information.

Day 8: Queen Elizabeth National Park with 3 Highlights.

You will report to the chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura Gorge at 7:00 am at the briefing point. You will follow the chimpanzees on the short downhill trail the guided track will provide into the gorge.

meal will be Lodge hot meal or packed lunch.

The next highlight is the well-known Kazinga Channel Boat Safari just at 2:00 pm. On the left side of the boat, kindly settle at the top deck. One finds many elephants, buffaloes, birds, and hippos here.

We took advantage of the opportunity to schedule a second-night game drive after supper as this resort also lies within the park. This area of Uganda offers the finest opportunity for seeing leopards and lions in action.

Day 9: Transfer to Mgahinga National Park the Home of Gorillas.

You will travel a picturesque route for a full-day to Kisoro – Mgahinga National Park. Lunch during the changeover.

Your driver will halt at breathtaking spots of view. Should your curiosity arise, you might visit Kitagata Hotsprings. For native Ugandans, this is their natural spa. For those who choose to visit, this little trip will cost around $5 admission charge.

During the transfer, you will have a lunch locally.

Day 10: Golden Monkeys, Volcanoes, Gorillas.

Mgahinga National Park opens via Kisoro. It is part of the Virunga Mountains and supports here rare golden monkeys as well as threatened mountain gorillas. Other advised activities here include Muhambura, or Sabinyo, around 12 hours; Volcano Climbing to either Gahinga (6-8 hours).
Golden monkey tracking or hiking up one of the volcanoes is included with the package fee.

You might choose to follow gorillas instead of golden monkeys or volcano climbing.

Day 11: Kigali Airport and Departure.

You will fly out from Kigali International Airport. This holds true for all departures beyond 3:00 pm. Should your departure be before 3:00 pm, you must add one night on the meal plan BB in Kigali for 50 USD per.
If you would prefer to visit Kigali after the tour, we can also arrange extra nights for you.

Lunch comes from Mondi Lodge in packaged form.
